Thinking about coming along to Malton Open Day this year and want to make the most of your visit to North Yorkshire?

Spend the morning getting to know some of the local horses, trainers and staff during Malton Open Day, where you can visit 11 trainers’ yards across the town. This year, we have enabled visitors to skip the queues and have worked with the trainers opening their yards to arrange park facilities, meaning we will no longer be organising shuttle buses. Click here to see the revised format of the day. All postcodes can be found on the Open Yards page, and volunteers will be on hand at each parking facility to exchange your QR codes for tickets!

Once you’ve enjoyed the morning in Malton, head to York Racecourse

York Racecourses’ annual YorkMix Family Sunday takes place on the afternoon of Malton Open Day and reduced-priced combined tickets are available now.

There’s fun for all, and the £200,000 in prize money, including a record £70,000 for the Listed Garrowby Stakes alone, is sure to attract some local stars. It is not just high-quality racing on offer; for the first time, popular children’s TV character, Bluey, will also make appearances at intervals throughout the afternoon on the Edwardian Weighing Room Lawn whilst Pony Races return to the track, showcasing the future weighing room talent.
