The recommended raceday route to the racecourse from all directions is via the A64. Routes from the A59 are also signposted. Please note that on racedays there will be road closures and restrictions in some areas so please follow the yellow directional signs. Please do not rely on your satellite navigation system.
The car parks are colour coded – please follow the blue squares for Car Park A, the green squares for Car Park C and red squares for Car Park D.
Please note that Car Park A is not suitable for vehicles larger than a private car. Minibuses, limousines and other larger vehicles should use Car Park C. Car Park D is for permit holders only.
All parking at the racecourse is free of charge. We accept no liability for damage to or loss of vehicles. Vehicles left overnight are entirely at the owner’s risk and should be removed from the car park before 10:00am the following day.
York Racecourse traffic and travel hotline (07880 031414) is in operation on racedays. Messages to this number are monitored. Please let us know of any incidents or unplanned road closures so that we can help keep traffic flowing.
